extended Hours - We offer appointments from 6.30pm to 9.00pm pm on Monday evenings (3 out of 4 weeks). Every 4th week there will be a Saturday Morning surgery 8.15am - 1.00pm Note: This service is intended to help those patients who are unable to attend surgery in normal hours (pre-bookable only - is not a walk in service)
INFORMATION ABOUT YOU . Confidential information from your medical records can now be used by the NHS to improve the services offered so we can provide the best possible care for everyone. Patients are automatically opted in unless they specifically ask to be opted out. More information can be found at www.nhs.uk/caredata.
Mobile phone text appointment reminders . Our new computer system will automatically send you a mobile phone text reminder. It is your responsibility to ensure we have your correct telephone details. The aim is to reduce the number of patients who fail to attend their appointments so we can re-use the appointments for other patients. Last year 3700 appointments were wasted due to patients failing to attend or letting us know to cancel them. Patients who persistantly fail to attend will be removed from the patient list.
Eliminate the need to wait in the reception queue - when you arrive for your appointment use the Self Check-in Touchscreen in our main waiting room. The screen asks you to confirm a couple of security questions and then it will tell you who you are seeing and where you need to sit. Ask reception staff to show you how to use it if unsure.
NEW SERVICE - 'OPT-IN' TO RECEIVE YOUR TEST RESULTS BY TEXT MESSAGE ON YOUR MOBILE PHONE - Please let the doctor/nurse know if you would like your test results sent to your mobile phone during your appoinment with them. You should make sure your mobile phone number is correct and always let us know if you change it. We cannot be held responsible if you change your mobile phone number and have not informed us.
On line Web Appointment and Repeat Prescription service is available, if you are interested in registering, pick up a leaflet in reception - really easy to use and open 24hrs a day!

HAD PROBLEMS GETTING THROUGH TO THE PRACTICE ON THE TELEPHONE? Help us by not telephoning the surgery during our busy periods. If your call is not urgent please avoid 8am - 11am and 2pm to 3.30pm, especially on Monday and Tuesdays!
