Linkway Medical Practice Merge with Dartmouth Health Centre on 1st June 2019 Posted on 28 May 2019

As a patient of Linkway Medical Practice you may already be aware that your practice has been working with Dartmouth Medical Centre to provide extended hours.  Working in different ways, using different computer systems can be very time consuming, often confusing and we want to make sure our time is spent giving the very best care that we can do to you, our patients.  It is therefore our intention to merge the computer clinical systems into one.

We have to do this overnight on Tuesday 11th June 2019.  On this date, the practice will not be providing appointments after 4.00pm until 10.00am on Wednesday 12th June 2019, this is also the same for collection of prescriptions and other forms.    However, you will still be able to access the practice in person or over the phone for advice during our opening hours.

Apart from closing early on the Tuesday and opening some types of appointments later on the next day, we hope the impact to you will be very limited, you should still attend your normal practice in the same way you do now.

Dartmouth and Linkway have been working together and sharing staff for about two years, merging our NHS Contracts and computer system is the next step in this process.  Working together in this way gives patients a greater choice of clinical staff; stability for the practice such as flexibillity to cover holliday and sickness.    For further information about this merge please contact the Practice Manager Emma Dolman at Linkway medical Practice.
